I have a 240D mercedes, year 1980 with a converted 300D that runs great. I am getting ready to have it converted to a veggie oil system. I cannot make up my mind whether to have it converted to a one tank or two tank system. I live in Sacramento, CA. A few weeks out of the year it will get down to to around freezing in the morning during the winter. But most of the time it is pretty mild. Can you share your thoughts on this?
Sincerely, Esteban

Re: two tank system vs one tank system
Wed, May 14, 2008 - 1:34 AMThere is alot more to the two tank system argument. Having VO that is heated liquifies the viscosity, not having that leaves coagulated oil in your engine block. Oil left on steel that has any water in it will polymerize the steel and cause problems. I've met a few people on one tank system that made it 2 yrs and then the engine died. Go two tank. Also read the Frybid forum for all your questions

Thu, May 15, 2008 - 8:26 PMThank you. I'll check them out. Do you like the frybrid system the best? I would have to request their system to be sent to me. I live in Sacramento, California and the only VO kit and installer available is greasekings. See their website greasekings.com. -

Re: two tank system vs one tank system
Sat, May 17, 2008 - 6:54 AMHe has a pretty hilarious voice mail message announcement. I tried calling his phone #, 206-322-6242 and it states something to the effect, "you can try leaving a message, but I probably won't call you back. please refer to the frybrid website."
